BORING & LINE BORING

HYDRAULIC CYLINDER REPAIR

Our processes for hydraulic cylinder repair involve the restoration and manufacture of components to return equipment to safe and reliable operating condition. Initial disassembly and inspection of components to assess wear and damage identifies any subsequent repairs which can include machining of cylinder barrels, rods, glands, pistons, and end caps, repair or restoration of damaged threads and sealing surfaces, boring, honing, turning, milling, drilling, and fabrication of replacement components where required. Any surface finishing is completed to specified tolerances, and preparation of components for reassembly with new seals is carried out.
All machining is carried out to meet required dimensional tolerances and operational performance specifications, ensuring the repaired hydraulic cylinder functions efficiently and reliably. Our main cylinder bed is 10m and can accommodate cylinders larger than this, please call to discuss your requirements.
HONING

Honing is a precision finishing process used to improve the internal surface of cylinders and bores. Using specialised abrasive tools, honing removes minor imperfections, restores accurate dimensions, and produces a smooth surface finish. This process enhances sealing performance, reduces friction, and extends the service life of hydraulic cylinders and other precision-engineered components.

THE NUTBUSTER

In May 2012 we were delighted to have secured the import of The Nut Buster, a hydraulically operated ratchet, from the US and to be the first and only UK company at that time to be successfully working with this machine to carry out nut removal to remove or install piston nuts and cylinder heads. The Nut Buster uses a minimum of 2 GPM and 2500 psi to develop 20,000 to 62,000 foot-pounds of torque.
